SIA EcoDesign Ready

We are proud to offer one of the largest range of SIA EcoDesign Ready stoves in the UK. All stoves manufactured after 2022 will need to be EcoDesign certified but we are delighted to be able to advise that our stoves meet this requirement well ahead of this date. All our range is now EcoDesign Ready.

Wood stoves are enjoyed by many thousands of households worldwide. We forget that for many people, woodburning is their only form of heating especially if their homes are off grid and therefore have no access to gas and don't want to have to rely on electricity to heat their house. Their only other mainstream option would be to burn oil but as a valuable fossil fuel, their preference is to use a fuel which is renewable in their lifetime, wood. Many older stoves are not compliant with the new EcoDesign standards. Stoves that are over 10 years old are considerably more polluting and less efficient than new stoves and open fires can be up to 90% more polluting than an EcoDesign stove so now is the time to replace them with new, clean burning and energy efficient models. When you purchase an ACR stove, you can be sure that you are investing in some of the cleanest stoves in the market place whilst heating your home in a low carbon, sustainable manner.
