Alleged warning on possible house fires caused by internet bought stoves

It is alleged that the Fire Service have issued an internal memo advising that in their opinion they are expecting to receive a major increase in call outs to chimney fires and house fires this winter caused by the incorrect installation of woodburning and multifuel stoves.  The Fire Service is putting this increase purely down to the number of stoves being sold via the internet.  With no site visit and not insisting the appliances are installed by HETAS qualified installers and simply not having the same knowledge of stoves and installations as recommended retailers have, they assume that most internet sold products will be installed dangerously and are expecting the number of incidents to rise dramatically this year.
