Wood Burning Stoves

If a stove is described purely as a woodburner it is designed to use wood. We always advise that individuals use seasoned logs that have been stored for two years in a dry area that has a good circulation of air to dry the logs out and reduce moisture content to roughly 20% of their original value.

When you have a woodburning stove you should leave a layer of ash in the base of the stove to aid the burning of the fuel every time you light the stove.
